TR6 running too cool?

This may seem strange, but my TR6 runs really cool - even on a relatively 
warn day. I put some new anti-freeze in, and added Redline water wetter. 
Before I changed the fluids, the reading was dead center (between the ..), 
but now it moves only a quarter of the way... ideas? Is this bad?
