Randall,

You just may have saved me some work.  I've been getting some gas fumes in
the garage when the tank is close to full, and was ready to start working on
the problem as soon as I take the car off the road for winter.  I've been
assuming I have a small leak in the tank.  Last time I looked at the tank I
don't recall seeing a vent.  Did all TR3s have it to your knowledge?

I assume most people know this, but just in case :
Another thing to be aware of is that the tank vent on a TR3 is well below
the level of the filler cap.  If you fill the tank into the neck, you will
have liquid fuel run out of the tank vent onto the ground under the car.
