TR transmissions have bronze synchros and thrust washers. Look for a gear 
oil that actually says 'safe for use with bronze parts'  right on the 
container. Pep Boys carries the Sta-Lube brand of safe GL-4 although some 
stores only carry it in 5 gallon buckets. Red Line makes 'safe' synthetic 
manual transmission oil which is expensive and available from many 
racing/performance catalogs.
