I ran into the same problem on my Sports 6 and my TR7. In both situations I 
had removed the arm completely from the car. I simply took the parts out to 
a corner of the backyard and with a propane torch burned them out. Get them 
hot enough and they will burn quite nicely. The rubber portion will then 
just crumble. Not something you want to do in the garage and it smells like 
hell so don't do it upwind from an open window. I them used a small 
diameter cylinder honing tool to clean up the ID of the arm and then 
pressing in the new bushing is a piece of cake.
