I've posted a page with photos of the cyl
and piston. I'm measuring the piston now
(it's laying here between me and the keyboard)

According to some of the spec you all have
supplied me the rings look to be within toleranceCompression
 Top...........................................Plain Type-
chrome plated
  Second.....................................Tapered
periphery
  Width  { top/second} ...............0.0615 to 0.0625 in
{ 1.575 to 1.578 mm }
   Fitted gap {top/second}...........0.012 to 0.022 in
{0.305 to 0.559 mm }
  Ring/groove clearance
   Top and second.......................0.0015 to 0.0035 in
{ 0.038 to 0.089 mm }
  Oil control
   Type.........................................Expander
with two chrome faced rings
    Fitted gap { chromed-faced rings.. 0.015 to 0.055 in {
0.38 to 1.40 mm }
     Don't forget to check the rod bearings for wear too.

The only spec not up to par as above...
id the ring/groove clearance. Mine is closer to .003-.004
top ring
.006 on the second ring

If I warp a feeler gauge... the .004 will just squeeze
between the cyl and piston
on one side.
