OK, someone will happily correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't believe
one will find many "Whitworth" or other older British-style fittings on the
TR.
ISTR that Standard Motor Company was one of the earlier automakers in England,
after World War II, to go to primarily "US" fittings, with some notable
exceptions on various components made by outside suppliers such as SU or
Lucas.
