I acquired an MG Midget a while ago. The paint is in bad shape.

depending on the time frame of painting your MG you may want to consider
signing up at your local community college. i signed up this fall for the huge
sum
of $110.00. most all of the class are "kids" under 21. they come with a could
care attitude, but if you laugh with them they are OK. i have found that the
instructors are just thrilled to have a student, me, who is genuinely
interested in learning what they are teaching. i have also found both the
instructors
and students are of course automotive enthusiasts and are thrilled with the
TR3 parts i take in to work on. and they just love to get involved and help
out.
i am having a great amount of fun. by summer i believe i will have a great
coat paint on a very professionally prepared body. these guys wont let you rub
bondo (excuse me. i now know its called plastic filler!) on all over any place
and every place. they insist that you learn the proper techniques and practice
them. they also have all the tools, equipment and facilities. i am genuinely
having a ton of fun. i figure that when all done i will have spent about
$300.00 on college and bondo etc. and then about $800.00 on paint supplies.
