Tony,

I use a thermo switch threaded into the upper radiator hose T-fitting that
is used on 1973 TR6 models with the vacuum retard thermo switch.  I use a
P/N 924491 Porsche 944/924 Low Temperature Thermo Switch ($16.95) that I
sourced from Performance Products, 8000 Haskell Ave., Van Nuys, CA 91406
1-800-423-3173 www.automotion.com . To fit the switch, unscrew the original
thermo switch from the fitting, re-tap the hole for 22mm x 1.50 pitch, screw
in the new switch, reinstall. The switch has two spade connections for
attaching the fan hot wire to the fan relay (you are using a fan relay
aren't you?)
