Hi  Andy
First isn't the TR4 a live axle variant?
=====
Yeah, but...
=====

Second why would IRS put you off when you have Heralds, the TR4A on IRS is
much more controlled and therefore controllable than the Herald.
=====
Well, maybe, but right about now, if I had a TR4A IRS, the other IRS (tax
man -- you know, like "that's one for you, NINETEEN for me....") would've
probably gotten it. :-(

Graham.
PS I had a Herald for years and loved owning and driving it and the rear
suspension is fine. I still miss it!

=====
The Herald, or just its rear suspension? I like both...always have. :-)

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with  wings.
