Greg,
I know how you feel, you have this new and absolutely perfectly clear window
now. The one that came out was yellow, maybe cracked to boot, and you
couldn't begin to see out of it! Or something like that.
What I have found to help the most is: 1) NEVER put the top down with dirty
windows!! 2) Always clean the windows only after washing the car so that any
dust is 'washed' off with running water! 3) Clean the windows inside and out
with a good quality plastic cleaner, such as Mequiar's with a SOFT Turkish
towel and then polish them with a fresh clean towel. and 4) NEVER put the
top down with dirty windows!!
I think that about covers my method of keeping the windows 'new' looking for
many years.

I am in the process of replacing the convertible top on my '73 TR6. I'm
following the instructions from the maintenance pages at VTR.org. So far, it
is coming out very well. I have put some pictures up at
www.gelhar.com/ggelhar I have some questions. First, which is the front
edge on the front rail rubber seal? There is a long and short lip to this
seal. Second, the new windows are very clear. I would like to hear what you
all recommend to keep them nice. Is there any product I could use to
pre-treat them with to slow the aging process? Any advice is willingly
accepted.
