That's ridiculous ! Take it back to the rebuilder and insist that they either
make it right or refund your money.
Although ... first I'd be sure your speedometer is accurate, and as I recall a
TR6 shouldn't turn quite that fast at 50 even without OD. Original TR6 tires
were larger than TR3, and a TR3 turns either slightly over or slightly under
2500 (depending on original tires) at an indicated 50 mph.
