Hi Jim-
Quick lesson in handling: stiffen front end of car and get plow in front end.
Stiffen rear end of car and get oversteer (back end wants to step out and
overtake front end in the turns).  In other words, the stiffer the suspension,
the more the tendency to slide.
Also: lowering the rear and not the front will result in what looks like a
heavy load in the trunk.  You add wind resistance, and the front end will tend
to lift from air going under the car.
Lower the center of gravity all around by stiffening all springs; you'll get a
slightly harder ride which you'll get used to as quickly as you can find the
first turn to negotiate after you've installed them....
