Yes, I believe there is a slim chance of that happening.  Honestly, I don't
think it's enough of a chance to worry about, but if it should, you'll know
that it happened.  At least when you go to check the liner protrusion (which
should be checked any time the head is off) if not before then.

And while it's a PITA, it's not really that big a deal to pull the liners &
replace the Fig-8 gaskets.  You could go ahead and do those rings & bearings
then too <G>

The alternative head removal methods aren't much better, IMO.  And there is
always some chance that the liners will stick to the head better than they
stick to the block (but I've never heard of it actually happening).
