Depends on lot on your tires; and how accurate your tach is.  

Assuming you have the standard 3.7 rear axle; and tires equivalent to the
factory Michelin radials; and an accurate tach; then 3800 rpm is closer to
90 mph (90.5 according to my calculator & the 42 revs per mile given in the
handbook).

But it's not unusual for original tachs to read as much as 500 rpm high (due
to wear in the mechanism), and modern tires typically have smaller effective
diameters than the original ones, so you could easily have been doing closer
to 70 mph.
