What if one used a sump evacuation system, but put a catch tank inline?
IOW, both the sump and the catch tank would see a vacuum from the
exhaust; but if the engine started pumping oil, it would fill the catch tank
before going out the exhaust.  At the point it would start going out the
exhaust, it would have overflowed a regular catch tank anyway.
