Ramon,
this is another hazy area. The article hints that some series III
cars had a single carb as well. To paraphrase the article, many feel
that the Series III with the "classic" lines of the early cars and the
refinements (saddle tanks, steel hardtop, etc) of the later cars is
one of the most desirable of the Alpines *especially* when it can be found
with dual carbs.

What would be a good book on the subject of Alpine history?
