Hello fellow "Beamers"

I have a bit of a problem and I am hoping that somebody can
help me. I have just purchased a MK5 Alpine. (About a month ago)
The problem is that the car was registered in 1970 which, I'm sure, is not
the year of manufacture. I would like to know the year and if possible the
month of manufacture. The car has also been re-sprayed and I would like to
get this car back to its original colour.
The chassis number is B395009029RRO and the paint code is 58.

Any help with this info would be greatly appreciated... :-)
