Fellow Beamers
What component of the Alpine electrical system causes the whole system to
shut down when the system is stressed? For example my 67 Alpine (with a Ford
2.8 liter v-6) is storred for the winter. It's cold out, but lights and
everything look and work fine. I mistakenly try to start it with the lights
on and the starter strains and then shuts off everything electrical. No
lights no nuthin. If I wait for 30 min or so everything works again! This
has happened several times whenever the electrical system is stressed. I
have charged the battery cleaned terminals and cleaned ground contacts till
the cows come home. It seems that there is something in the system that is
improperly acting like a circuit breaker that resets itself after 30 min.
 Any suggestions?
