More Headgasket Inquiries

Hey Alpiners!

I would like to see if any of you can answer a little question of mine,
that sort of relates to Alpines.

Question is...

Does the Plymouth Cricket "Hillman Avenger" share any sort of lineage to
our dear
Rootes 1725 engine line.

Since the Avenger had some monster pistons, and if the head design is
similar,
perhaps the Avenger head gasket would be accepted on a heavily bored
Alpine
block.

Anyone across the pond know?
