You might have them check out the amount of play at the throttle shaft
bushings before they start. It could save them a lot of time and frustration
later if they can't get a consistent mixture at different RPM's.
If the carbs have been rebuilt with new needle valves and correct float
levels, there's not a lot to do besides playing with the mixture adjustment,
and making sure the carbs are balanced. I assume they'll find the
spring-loaded valve on the left underside of each vaccuum chamber, used to
determine if the mixture is too rich or not at idle.
