As someone who brought my Alpine as a university student, struggled to
pay for it (and its bank loan) on student grants, worked in underpaid
menial jobs to fund its repair bills (and when they couldn't be funded I
walked or took a bus), struggled years to accumulate enough parts to
hopefully keep my car on the road in the foreseable future and have only
now after 15 years been able to afford to restore it, I see no reason
why you should get your restoration at my expense. Happy to give you all
the advise you desire but it is your car so don't expect me to restore
it for you. And don't tell me you just want to get it mobile to satisfy
your landlord cause it'll run just fine without chrome letters,
rechromed hubcaps and bumpers, body work and a paint job.

Karl
