Thanks for the info on the carbs. I will use your advice to check for leaks.
Do you have any more info about the VW carbs? Which model VW? Do you
mean he used two of the VW Webers in place of the Zeniths, or is this a
single carb in place of the Solex carb?
I don't know about the teflon tape idea. I would be worried about strands of
teflon being sucked into the motor. Or do you mean wrapping the teflon
around the exposed shafts and using the linkages to push this up against the
carb body?
