I'm confused now :-
the last few series V Alpines had the 25 spline input shaft with
7.5 in disc ???, the earlier series V had 10-spline, 7.5 inch ???
I'm hoping to use a standard series V engine, flywheel & 10-spline
gearbox in my ser III:-
(I'm taking a winter break from the never-ending welding nightmare :
instead I'm going to rebuild the engine+trans)
So can I use the cover and bearing from the later Hunter/ Arrow clutch kit,
(dirt cheap n.o.s. here) matched to a 7.5 in 10-spline Alpine V disc???
I guess the definitive article on "tranny to block mixing and matching"
has yet to be written, but as far as I can see, the block's not important:
it's more a question of "what series flywheel are you using?"...
....but then I could be wrong ;-)
