V-6 Conversion

I am about to embark on a V-6 conversion for my alpine. The current
engine has not been run for about 15 years and to my recollection it was
not the best at that time. The engine and trans are from a 78 Mustang
which was rebuilt by a very reputable shop (I know the owner of the
shop)less than a year ago and is in perfect running condition.
I am currently in cutting up the Mustytangand am curious as to what
components I should remove and keep other that the engine, trans, diff
and drive shaft. Are there and mounting bracket which shopuld be kept?
I have a complete shop to work out of but am also a creature of
convenience. My intention is to get the conversion kit, hydraulic throw
bearing and centre link tio ease the conversion process. Anyone with
experience who would like to drop a line it would be greatly
appreciated.
