My machinist told me something similar. However, he said to use
non-detergent 30wt for the break-in, not hi-po oil, as most contain
detergent. Jarrid mentions the cam break-in, which I think is what
your machinist is referring to in not letting the RPM get too low. My
machinist also said to only use water in the cooling system during
break-in because it's less likely to leak than coolant. Don't know if
that's right or not. I was also reminded to change the oil & filter
after 500 miles to get the assembly lube out of the system.

Jarrid, are you saying to set the timing at 15 deg BTDC while it idles
ar 2500? I think that's what you meant.

Oh yeah, my amp meter still does not show a drain when the electrics
are on. Any way to test this?
