Tim,

The last two years, when Glen has finished a motor for me, he has installed it
in
the car and taken to Phil Babcock in Ft. Myers Beach, FL who has a company
called
The Dyno Shop. On his Dynojet Model 248C chassis dyno we got the following
results at the rear wheels:

Devin TR3 in April 2000: 130 HP at slightly over 6,000 RPM

Triumph TR3 in June 2001: 121 HP at around 5,500 RPM

Both motors have 87mm pistons, billet crank, carrilo rods, lots of head work,
about 12:1 compression, SU H-6 carbs, stainless headers, and cams from Greg
Solow. The Devin motor had a really nice cam in it but required some head work
after each race weekend (we were running up front with the HSR Porsches!) A
milder cam is in the Triumph TR3 motor.

Are these legal motors? I feel they are and have nothing to hide. How much
money does one spend? My estimation is that a new "Efinger Thunderpower" motor
from scratch with all the goodies and all the tuning work would run about
$10,000.

Vroom, vroom,

Jeff
