Bob,

I don't think Bill or anyone else intended to infer that all cops fall
into that "Bad" profile which has been discussed. But we all have
experienced those who do fit the profile. Usually, these are local cops
which don't have to pass the screening and education requirements
expected of State and larger city agencies. And of course, the small
localities are often the places where speed traps are a major source of
income for the local government.

I am sure you are not one of these and therefore are not one of the
people of which Bill speaks. After all, you drive a Triumph and that
says a lot about your character. :)

I find your comments highly offensive as I am a retired law enforcement
officer that put his life on the line on more occasions than I care to
remember, stopped burglaries in progress, administered life saving
procedures, assisted elderly folks get to and from the grocery store and
on
and on and on!

I can't tell you how many times I issued traffic tickets to people who
got
their panties in a wad because they "got caught" breaking the law,
threatened to show up in court and smear me all over the place and then
never show because they realized they were really in the wrong. Yes, the
police profession does have it's individuals that may not be stand up
guys
or gals, but to lump us all into that category is "WRONG". Think about
everything you guys are thinking or saying and remember that the next
time
you are in an accident bleeding profusely and the first guy on the scene
is
a cop who saves your life.
