By the way, you tolerate the safety equipment as a racer (I'd 
certainly be more comfortable in a tee shirt!), but you WEAR it for 
your loved ones.  Same reason you ensure your roll bar is 2" over 
your head, you have roll bar accoutrements like Gary describes, you 
have good properly mounted belts, etc.  Thought for the day...
