Interestingly enough Michael, AHX12 (in which you have competed for many
hours) runs 2 "cube" type pumps and they have proven to be totally reliable.
I wonder if some of the problems that have been reported may be
attributable to incorrect installation.
As I recall the instructions provided with these pumps clearly indicate
that they MUST be installed at an angle of around 45 degrees on a vertical
surface with the outlet above the inlet.
I have seen many installed incorrectly.
