I have just installed a Facet pump in series with my SU pump. The SU pump is=
great and that=E2=80=99s what I primarily run on, however in the summertime=
I=E2=80=99ve found that if I run the Facet pump l, the vapor lock issue on t=
hese big Healeys tends to disappear. It also puts a second pump in place alr=
eady so on the side of the road if you have one go, you can easily switch ov=
er to the other pump which is already installed.

I agree with Tom. If the car currently has an SU pump & it fails (after deca=
des of reliable service) why replace it with an aftermarket pump and have to=
deal with mounting modifications, fuel line routing & connection modificati=
ons, etc. when it is so much easier to replace it with another SU pump. If y=
our concern is reliability on a road trip a spare SU can be installed if nee=
ded in a short amount of time. Or as I have done, install & plumb a 2nd pump=
& switch so I can alternate between them on a long trip.

Aren't other questions: mounting and connections?
I'll admit I installed a second SU pump on a bracket I made for two SU pumps=
, because of interchangeability and it seemed easier in the long run.
