for what its worth, dont forget there is a "lag" time for the heat to
transfer from the combustion chambers into the coolant - it is not
instantaneous
for example, the thermal conductivity of aluminum is 117 ( BTUs that can
travel one foot distance thru one square foot of area per degree F
difference in one hours time), steel is 27, and water is 0.32
