sedan those were stock new castings taken out of the box and bolted on.
That's probably a lie, but maybe close. I know from working with my Howard
head early castings can be a trial. Doug how are original Overdun heads?

My understanding is that the "repops" are duplicates of the originals
with some very minor changes such as removing the "cartridge-fire" spark plug
location and putting the plug down in the combustion chamber where it
belongs, using 12mm plugs instead of the otiginal 18mm's, and perhaps a
little better flow. Most of the changes are better cosmetics.
I had an original set checked and they flower a little under 160 cfm at
25 in. A guy in San Jose, CA massaged the valves on Monte's 37 sedan heads a
little and possibly cleaned up the ports, resulting in a flow of about
200cfm. If the ports are moved a little and massaged a lot the flow goes up
to about 240cfm.
My understanding is that rather than doing the work at Paramount Forge
Don Ferguson is having the casting and machining done by the same shops that
did the original 30 sets for Orosco............Ardun Doug in CA
