       You can't push a brick faster than a bullet no matter how much power you 
put in it, talk to me in a couple three years, maybe you will understand.  I'd 
personally like to see your 68 Firebird  keep running on the salt after you get 
done with it, but who is going to mess with it when you can put the same effort 
in a sleekmobile and run 40mph faster??? Kvach

While I condone the use of electronics, particularly for data acquisition,
the only electronics we run are the Gauges, Mag and Rev Limiter.  I'll
gladly throw down against anyone with electronics, even with our
aerodynamically inferior body. One thing many of you fail to realize is that
electronics are not always the best way to fly. If I were running an EFI
system on our car, we couldn't get enough nozzles mounted in the injector
hat to feed the motor ( there's about 3400 CFM of air going into the motor
at WOT). It doesn't phase me to run against a guy with electronic engine
control - no whining for a new class here !

        I think the only thing most of us are concerned about Doug, is BODY
STYLES 
        and TYPES. So as not to "obsolete" the classic styles from
racing.... Not
