I look at it this way John, The pistons and rods are
a given aftermarket purchase. I'm going to run blown
injected methanol with some pop -- that is an high
dollar piston even for a chevy. The crank will be a
facory grind-- very strong. I'll gringd up a main cap
girdle or cross bolt the stock caps. Gotta run a good
valve and spring combination on either .The rockers
are useable with some modifications.Rocker stands can
be used or billet ones can be made if they become a
weak link. Things like copper head gaskets ,main studs
, and timing covers are all available aftermarket
/new.I think it is do-able . My concern is getting
some spare stuff to play with and experiment on. I
have been hunting on the web and some of the responses
and resources given by those on the list have given me
some great leads.So far I have two desotos (for D)and
one dodge (for E) but I would like to find maybe one
more of each.
Just think how easy it will be to change the plugs !!
