Howdy,
back in 85 and 86, I was real interested in skydiving, and built
a parachute testing rig with data acquisition . load cells on the risers,
and a pressure transducer for altitude. got a bunch of data, mostly it
didn't matter how the chute was packed, 1.4-1.7 second opening. didn't
matter what terminal speed either, 118-185,( 185 was a real treat! stand on
my head and dive for 6000 feet then pull in the dive, WAP! 3.2 g's! on my
risers in 1.3 seconds. ) somebody out there should have the data capacity
to do a load on a car chute.
