Richard,
I'm looking at the 300 Buick V8, that followed the 215.  They can share the
same heads; basically the 300 is a stroked 215, in fact a common mod is to
use a 300 crank in the 215 block.  The 300 was in the '64 model years but
like the 215 it would have been developed well back into the 50's.
