Gary, if your goal is 200 mph,  build a lakester
or streamliner.  A mod Sport minimum.  It takes a
lot of HP to get a brick to 145 or so, but once
you get above that, the horsepower will get much
more expensive than building the right car to
begin with.  To get most door slammers to 200 is
going to take something within kissing distance
of 700 HP. AND, you may be able to give a big
block a squirt on the drag strip and get 700 HP,
but you aren't asking the motor to go and go and
go and go and go! There are many guys out there
going over 200MPH in properly designed cars
pushed by relatively stock motorcycle motors.
