I had some throttle response in the corners at Laguna Seca two weeks ago. It
worked a whole lot better than I thought it would. It felt like it could be
managed a whole lot better with more sensitivity that would come from more
throttle pedal throw e.g. 6" of throw, that would translate to the 2 inches
of injector throttle attachment point throw.
In the second race on Sunday, I was finally able to apply part throttle such
that I could slowly bring out the rear end to set up for the apex.  
Right now it looks manageable for road racing. 
When the throttle mods are finished this weekend, I'll try it out on the
expressway and then at Sears Point on 5/31.
