It seems almost surreal that we are
arguing against a potential safety hazard. With all we
must rightfully go through in tech to ensure a safe
race car, why should safety end there?

I am in agreement with you John, to that end, on my new car I have
incorporated some old Grant King air jacks and have designed a stand that
will lock the jacks in an extended position, keeping the car off the ground.
The design locks into place and must be purposefully removed.
Around here, I work alone most of the time and everything I can do to make
big jobs easier and safer pays off.
