Bruce, you are close enough to get the prize; Here is the post
I sent to a couple of folks off line about Harley's "Wendover
connection"

Fat Boy Name;
Following exerpts are from " The History of Harley Davidson"
by Ed Youngblood.

"......Whereas Harley Davidson had been offering succesively
better and more beautiful paint schemes throughout the '80's,
the 1990 Fat Boy arrived in a monotone silver with the only
touch of color being yellow stripes on its valve covers. It
had solid wheels, rounded bodywork, and seemed almost military
in its lack of trim, like a stylistic tribute to a World War
II bomber. The Fat Boy instantly created its own mythology. By
this time it was clear that in many respects Harley Davidson
had not only survived, but was winning against the Japanese
manufacturers, and stories emerged that the Fat Boy was Willie
G's tongue-in-cheek declaration of victory in the recently
hard-fought motorcycle wars. It was rumored that the
motorcycle was intentionally designed - in color and shape -
to be reminiscent of the Enola Gay, the legendary B-29 that
brought the Second World War to an abrupt end. Indeed, it was
pointed out that its very name was a combination of Fat Man
and Little Boy, the code names for the two atomic bombs
dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki"

And of course Enola Gay and Bockscar were based and trained in
Wendover. Funny how history intertwines.....
