I was just thinking...it would be a simple matter to connect a pressure
transducer to the compressor outlet and look at the AC-only output. Surge
could be detected this way and a wastegate could be automatically cracked
open only far enough to stop the surge. This way, boost could be kept as
high as possible. Has anyone ever tried this idea?
