Go to http://www.hq.nasa.gov/office/pao/History/afspbio/part4-2.htm and
you'll see that one run decelerated from mach 0.9 to zero in 1.4
seconds, involving a SUSTAINED rate of 25 g's.  I don't think any top
fuel driver is gonna see that.....or could, given that "rail jobs" don't
actually run on rails and thus need driver control...
