Hi Bob & List,

Malcolm wrote an answer, which tells the most.

To a proper understanding - what he likes to say, was -

if this thrust powered bike would set a new two wheel record, the FIM will
certified this record in the thrust power category - Dave Campos record will be
there as before, due to this that he runs in a other class. What could be
happened, that once this class would be changed from World Record into a
international record class, so as it happens in the sixties with the wheel
driven records - the records from Bob & Bill Summers and Al Teague are all
international records under the FIA regulations.

The FIM got before thrust powered records on there list - they are not anymore
shown, since they cleaned up the list - this issue was discussed a while ago
here on this list - but the record from Craig Breedlove (1963) and Kitty O'Neil
(Hamilton) was certified by the FIM.

So Sam and Ack can still go for the "purist" record - some people call the
wheel driven records so - due to this that they say that thrust power are not
the right "medium"....

see ya

Is this another FIA/M thing? Even if that is the reason, how would you compare
a jet-engined vehicle to one with 1350cc? ( EZ Hook Kawasaki)
