In a message dated 97-03-05 22:24:56 EST, you write:

<< Try as you will try as you may ... the instructions in the owners handbook

 will not prevent scuff marks on the windows - it is inevitable and will
 eventually happen!!
 <snip>

 One of the guys in our local club carries a clean soft terry-cloth towel
with him to pad the rear window. Seems to work pretty good so far. A bit of
bother, but if it can stave off or delay the inevitable, may be worth it.
 (just my tuppence worth)

 Regarding the GT .. try rear ending a tractor trailer at 40 mph + - this
ought
 to do a splendid job of removing that top from the GT and it won't scuff the

 plastic windows on your roadster either!!!- BUT please remember to duck as
 this endeavor could prove to be hazardous (even with a roll bar).

  There's a thought!.

  But I may wait a bit to try it. It may be a little difficult to raise the
top in case of "liquid sunshine"
  Besides, I can't get the professional discount on asprin.
