If your brackets have another mount position, placing your shock in the more
tilted (top further forward) position as opposed to straight up and down
will soften the ride a bit. Aside from that I can tell you that Monroe
gasmatic plus and Napa Gasmatic plus (same thing) have been used in these
kits. A larger bore size generally is found in better shocks with greater
dampening capability. So I guess go for one with a small bore like the basic
gasmatic shocks.

Some time ago I bought a used set of rear tube shock conversions (not
the Spax type). The shocks were no good, but I took them to my local
Sears to be matched up to a new set.
Well, the new shocks are mounted on the car and are WAY WAY too stiff.
These would be wonderful for autocross, but terrible for day to day
driving.
Can anyone on the list recommend a specific shock make and model I can
purchase from my local parts dealer that would be an appropriate
application for my BGT? I'd like them to be sport oriented without
being overly stiff like the ones I already have. Thanks in advance to
any and all who can answer this.
