I somehow see an irony in using the above e-mail to decide whether our
list
should stop wasting bandwidth and talk about cars.

I also see this as unfair. What if I say "Yeah, so I go to the
junkyard and
see a MGB roadster, but you know, I had such a hard time removing the starter,
then
it started to rain, a cat scared me," etc... What will my punishment be? 30
lashes
with a 3-point harness? Will you kick me off? Who has the power to kick me
off, is
it Mark Bradakis? I know he runs the list, or at least supports it. Besides,
what
if most people don't vote in this election, everyone says to themselves,
"Forget
this, I'll write what I damn well please." So, you get five votes, two for YES
on
three for NO. What will that mean?

I'm not trying to flame you. I'm not trying to start a war. I'm just
saying
that _if_ this would be done, it should be sanctioned by someone with the
authority
to present a punishment to those whom decide to ignore the rule (And I assure
you,
there'd be plenty of folks doing some ignoring). Humans were given the gift of
free
will. That, along with opposable thumbs, is what separates us from animals.
So, I'd
like to simply end on this note: They didn't create the "delete" key for
nothing.

Thanks for listening, I'll go back to my work now.
