I replied:

Then, Pat responded:

So would I, Pat; believe me!!!!

Let me state here that I didn't ask for that, I just observe.....

It's just the age-old question, as formulated about/shortly before 399 B.C
by the great
Greek philosopher Socrates. (399 BC being the year he was condemned to death).

He stated, that you have a choice ( as can be found in the book 'Criton' by
Plato; when I was a school boy,
many years ago [am I an old FT now?] we had to read that stuff.
Not in translation, but in ancient Greek, of course):

= EITHER you do not agree with a country's laws and then you leave in protest
and find a better home elsewhere,

= OR you stay, and by staying you imply that you agree with the existing
legislation.

In my opinion, however, most people are too lazy even to think about these
options
OR their level of resistance has not yet been reached (hence, no riots, here!).
It's too easy just to stay where you are...

Have a nice weekend!

Bert

P.S. Socrates would probably be very much surprised if he could see,
how easy it is, nowadays, to travel around the world, by plane or
by MG...
