Tailgate/Hatch tends to rust out. The headlining is a real err, b*tch to
replace as is some of the interior trim. Apart from that, it's an MGB with a
roof, that handles better. You can stuff a whole lot of gear in the back of
one <G>. Great for touring, and I'd definitely suggest an overdrive, it
makes life a lot better in a BGT, a lot less noise. As Ed said, they get
super hot in the Summer, to the point of being undrivable (at least here in
Australia). That is a real pain, and I am going to fit A/C to my CGT when I
finally get her here, otherwise I can't drive her in the Summer, and that my
friends is not good! :) I've even melted plastic coke bottles on my
passenger seat! No bull!

Funny isn't it, they sold for more when new. :)

That would depend on where you live, it seems in the US different states
want different $. We bought our 27,000ml BGT in CA for $3000 in 1986. Prices
don't appear to have changed all that much looking at whats available on the
Net. I would think ballparkish that GT would be worth round $2500-$3500.
Take a look at a few cars before you make your decision, there's plenty out
there! :)

OH - I love my GT's. 'Dead sexy' <G> Buy one. :)) GT Pics on my Website.

Cheers,
Neil
A/BGT/CGT (one day there will be a PB/Twin Cam/BGTV8 on this list if I get
my way <G>)
