That sure doesn't sound right. I had mine apart not too long ago, and it 
was stiff rather than wobbly. I solved my problem with some lubrication. 
Yours sounds like a candidate for replacement --unless there's a snap 
ring or something that holds the two parts together, that could be 
reseated or replaced.
