Max, John, I use the anti-seize on my splines cuz it never gets hard like
grease so that my wheels are never hard to remove. I could be wrong, but I
don't think the grease is there to provide lubrication in the traditional
sense.
AFA the water in the hubs, I haven't noticed any ill effects inside the hub,
or on the splines. Note that I said I hadn't *noticed* any, maybe I just
don't know what to look for.
But speaking of water, I did notice a significant amount under both the
drivers and passengers seats (in the A) after a few hours driving over wet
roads, not pouring rain, just wet after a rain. Any known leak areas around
the floorboards of an MGA?
